about

Demons and Angels is the first song from a collection of work inspired by Suzan Saxman's book 'The Reluctant Psychic.'

Suzan Fiona Saxman has been talking to dead people about the past and the future for as long as she can remember. She has been called a psychic, a sensitive, a fortune-teller, a medium, and an oracle. Always skeptical of her tremendous gift, she struggled to come to terms with her calling even as she revealed the destinies of everyone, from housewives to hit men, stockbrokers to rock-and-rollers. She could witness everyone's future - everyone's but her own. Why was she visited by angels and demons? Could she ever escape this strange fate? Where was her own soul mate?

Now Suzan tells the story of her journey and tries to make sense of her family's buried secrets. Through powerful readings of others' destinies interwoven with a compelling narrative, a reluctant psychic emerges from the shadows.

lyrics

I have no name
I’m whoever I wish to be
I need to feel the ground
Beneath my feet
And the stars above my head

Never had trouble finding heaven
Cos I see the things that no one else sees

Don’t take away my demons
Cos if you do
You’ll take away my angels too
Don’t take my demons
Cos if you do
You’ll take away my angels too

Charmed by England
Glastonbury England
You said you belong here
This is your place
What a gift
An unknown gift

Never had trouble finding heaven
Cos I see the things that no one else sees

Don’t take away my demons
Cos if you do
You’ll take away my angels too
Don’t take my demons
Cos if you do
You’ll take away my angels too

Voices flowing like a river
King of the dead
He is the messenger
The journey goes on
The story goes on and on
We go on
We go on
